Almost two (2) Hours of the Top performers from around the globe show what makes them the best of the best. All footage is from National and International Karate Championship. From the Bluegrass Nationals comes the opening Demo by Team SideKick. In Team Demos Team Charlie Lee Karate went against K.I.C.K. Team, in Sync Team Forms it was Team Charlie Lee Karate vs Team John Paul Mitchell. The next tournament is the Battle of Atlanta with an great opening demo done to the Matrix theme. Team Demos again pitted Team Charlie Lee Karate against K.I.C.K. Team. A special Demo with Kim Do called Kim Do’s Corner. Next came Team Sync Forms with Team Straight Up competing with Team Paul Mitchell. The Xtreme Martial Arts challenge was next and it was unbelieveable, you will just have to see it to believe it. The Pan American Internationals was a new AAA NASKA event and they put on a great show, the opening Demo was performed by Lee Barden the Neon Knight, Team Sync Forms had a all Sansei crowd with Sansei Team 1 competing against Sansei Team 2.

The 2004 Best of Tournament Demonstration Teams Volume 9. Almost two hours of the Top performers from around the globe showing what makes them the best of the best. From the New England Open comes the opening Demo by Team J. Phillips, then Sync forms with Team Sansei and Team JPM. From the Bluegrass Nationals K.I.C.K. Team, Team Pro Rank, Team J. Phillips, Team JPM and Kim Do’s Corner. At the Capitol Classics we have Team Charlie Lee Karate, Team Oakley, Team Pro Rank, Team J. Phillips, Team JPM and the K.I.C.K. Team. The Battle of Atlanta includes Black and Blue Demo Team of Lee Barden, Michael Lee, Joey Kroom and Robert Ingram, Team J. Phillips, Kim Do’s Corner, K.I.C.K. Team, Team Pro Rank and Team Charlie Lee Karate. The final event is the Pan American Internationals with the opening demo by the Black and Blue Demo Team consisting of Lee Barden, Joey Kroom and Robert Ingram, A Jujitsu Demo, Team Pepsi and Team Straight Up.
2004 Pan American Internationals
This is the second year for this tournament to be nationally ranked. The finals opened with a chux demo by Lee Barden, Joey Kroom and Robert Ingram doing dueling banjos .The team forms championship where Team Pepsi faced Team Straight Up, then youth forms and weapons championships with Nick Schilling, Jennifer Espina, Shahin Jahan-Vash and Becca Ross. Ritchie Bichara, Nicolle Provost and Chrissy Concepcion competed in 14-17 Forms. A new division added this year was the WKF Fighting Championships. Alex Lane fought Marques Dumlao in two matches to win the Lightweight division, Preston Clements defeated Joey Greenhalgh for the Heavyweight Championship. Youth team sparring had Team BLAM against Team WKF who were undefeated this year, Team BLAM pulled off the upset to win. Justin Eaton’s creative bo performance beat the traditional performances of Terri Jacoby and Ritchie Bichara and the creative performance of Nikki Provost. Special Demo by Michelle Mouse Krasnoo and a MMA bout featuring Manny Reyes, Jr., Joyce Blanco won over Lauren Kearney in the women’s sparring finals. Matt Algonzino faced Jessie Ross for the overall 16-17 boys sparring title. Algonzino won the match to take the title. The match up between Clements and Harry Carter for the overall men’s sparring grand championship was easily won by Clements. Team JPM faced Team Straight Up for the Adult Team Sparring Grand Championship with Team JPM just barely winning on the legs of Alex Lane. The finals ended with adult forms and weapons. Cindy Powell, Krystle Retamoza and Lauren Kearney came to the stage. The three looked good but it was Kearney’s musical traditional form that captured the judges’ attention and the win. In men’s forms, Kim Do, Chris Walker and Marc Canonizado faced off. Kim Do’s musical form was the overall winner. Finally, the adult weapons competitors came to the stage. Nate Andrade, Mike Cifre, Marc Canonizado and Lauren Kearney. It was close and in the end, Canonizado’s form was the winner. There are also highlights from Friday night and Saturday’s Eliminations. 2004 Battle of Atlanta
As a tribute to 911, Master Corley opened the evening with a collage of audio clips and music related to 911 as a beautiful young girl was spotlighted as she held the American flag. At the conclusion of this collage, which included the Beatles’ Imagine, Lee Greenwood’s Proud to be an American and Ray Charles’ God Bless the USA, Brian Ruth’s brother Toby took the microphone and masterfully sang “Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning?” He was accompanied by Lee Barden’s prochux weapons black light show representing the Force of One theme of the Battle of Atlanta. A new division added to the nighttime show was Junior Fighting. The two teams were KNKT vs DCAKA. This years Battle added an incredible division called Professional Point Fighting which included Jason Tankson-Bourelly, Jack Felton, Preston Clements, Elias Lemon, Joey Greenhalgh, Jesse Goldberg and the winner was Raymond Daniels who fought Jason in an
awesome match. Jonathan Boyd received perfect 10s across the board, this was the first time that has happened since 1991. The IKF Super Heavyweight World Championship was decided with a match between Mark Selbee and Raoul Doucet. There are highlights from Friday and Saturday’s Eliminations.
