We have found over time that most dance recitals are best videotaped with a single camera from one angle, usually center stage. This way, we do not miss any of your students and all who are on stage are seen in the finished product. We have available multiple camera setups if you want to have that type of setup for your event.

Your event will be videotaped with our professional equipment, editing with titles and behind-the-scenes videotaping of the cast getting ready for the show. We also include DVD authoring with menus and, if provided by the school, a photograph slideshow. You will also get a professional label and DVD Library case included. We can supply you with a sample of our work upon request and you can view a sample online in our video samples section of the website.

Frequently asked questions

DO YOU HAVE FIXED RATES FOR VIDEO PRODUCTION PROJECTS?

Yes. We have produced commercials and promos for all different kinds of businesses, both local and national.

The cost for your commercial is based on your needs and with a budget starting at only $250.00 for a basic 30 seconds to 2 minutes commercial/promo. This includes 3 hours of onsite video production and up to 5 hours of editing to complete the commercial.

The next level commercial/promo production includes up to 5 hours of onsite video production at a maximum of two locations, and up to 12 hours of editing to complete the commercial/promo, and it is $550.00.

For advanced commercial/promo productions, the cost is $950 for up to 8 hours of onsite video production at a maximum of three locations, and up to 20 hours of editing to complete the commercial.

There is a $50 per hour videotaping and a $75 per hour editing rate for overtime of the package you have chosen.

HOW LONG DOES IT USUALLY TAKE FOR YOU TO COMPLETE ALL THE SHOOTING?

HOW DO YOU MAKE SURE YOUR VIDEO CONNECTS WITH THE PEOPLE WHO MATTER?

Consider your audience. How in-depth do you need to go? Are you presenting research? Are you creating one video, a series, or an entire course? Prepare an outline that is appropriate to your single video, your series, or your course. Plot your material in the most coherent, story-telling manner possible. Know your audience. Visuals are an important way to diversify your video. If you don’t have any visuals yet, now is the time to find some to compliment your production. How long is your video? An hour? Half an hour? Fifteen minutes? Decide what is a reasonable amount of content to present in that length of time.

There is a 30% non-refundable deposit required at the time of booking.
Black and Blue Productions must be book at least 30 days in advance of the expected wedding date, or there will be an additional 15% service fee added to the final cost.

Start at the bride’s house for getting ready shots, then going to the grooms and shooting the same. Shoot of the wedding ceremony and reception.

Editing & Cuts

Final Cut Pro Non-Linear Editing: $75.00 per hour
½ time for digitizing and render time
DVD Authoring: $45.00 per hour

Simple cut of music for performances to length and then put onto a CD is $20.00 per song.

Edit music together from several different songs, $35.00 per hour minimum 1 hr.

Each additional CD is $5.00.

Montage of scanned Photos put on DVD and edited with transitions and music: $2.00 per photo.
Scanning of photos and put on CD: $1.00 per photo.
